Arnold Clavio Clarifies “Mike Enriquez Dead” Rumors

MIKE ENRIQUEZ DEAD – Kapuso news anchor Arnold Clavio reacted to the claims that veteran newscaster Mike Enriquez passed away.

One of the veterans in the field of newscasting is Kapuso news anchor Mike Enriquez. He’s one of the main newscasters of GMA-7’s news program “24 Oras”. He is also part of the radio program dzBB’s “Saksi sa Dobol B”.

In December last year, Mike took a medical leave from work to undergo a kidney transplant. After the operation, he was in isolation for three (3) months before he returned to work in March. However, recently, he was noticeable absent again.

The noticeable absence of the veteran newscaster added fuel to the rumors that Mike Enriquez is dead. Based on an article on Pep, the said rumors circulated after singer Richard Merk took to social media a post expressing his sympathy to the alleged bereaved family of the veteran newscaster.

“Rest in peace Tito Mike. We will all miss you. A great loss to the news industry. Labyu Tito. My sincere condolences to your loving family and friends. Enjoy the company of our dear creator in heaven,” the singer wrote.

Fellow newscaster Arnold Clavio was quick to react to the rumors that Mike Enriquez is dead. On social media, Igan stressed that Mike is very much alive and his message to the rumors that he died is, “Fake News!”.

Based on the article, Richard said that he only got the news from the post of character actress Loly Mara who apologized saying that what she got was a fake news a few years ago. She apologized to Mike for what happened.
