As the saying goes, there is always light at the end of a tunnel. But during the time we were immersed in the dark because of the pandemic and the challenges that came along with it, we’ve had to hold onto the little pockets of light and joy that kept us going—God, family, loved ones, and our friends.
These are the words in the description of the song – the story that made up ABS-CBN Christmas ID 2022 “Tayo Ang Ligaya Ng Isa’t Isa”. Truly, in the darkest times, these people and God are the ones we always turn to, to draw hope, strength, inspiration, and happiness.
They are the lights that we see at the end of the tunnel.
And now, as we move forward and move on regaining the normalcy we had pre-pandemic, the song sets as a reminder to all of us to be grateful for it – to be grateful most especially to God.
ABS-CBN Creative Communication Management Head Robert Labayen wrote the lyrics while ABS-CBN Music’s Creative Director Jonathan Manalo composed the music. Manalo also spearheaded the whole vocal arrangement and music production.
Among the well-loved performers appeared such as singers Sharon Cuneta, Sarah Geronimo, Piolo Pascual, KZ Tandingan, Jed Madela, Erik Santos, Morissette, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ogie Alcasid, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Angeline Quinto, Jolina Magdangal, Melai Cantiveros, and Moira dela Torre.
Chito Miranda, Jane de Leon, Janella Salvador, Joshua Garcia, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, Darren Espanto, and AC Bonifacio also have lines and whose voices have completed the song’s melody.
