Lola Who Joins Marathons Speak on Unique Passion at her Age

LOLA – A 75-year-old woman, Rosalinda Pendon Ogsimer, amazes people as she joins marathons amid her age now.

Marathon is undeniably a thing of the young ones and people who are in the middle age. Usually, these are individuals who are into sports and really take the conscious effort of staying healthy with the help of working out like running.

While this thing is expected among the young ones and those who are in the middle age, there are a few individuals who make the exception – like lola Rosalinda Pendon Ogsimer. Seemingly, there is none that can stop her from joining marathons as long as she can, not even her age – 75.

Speaking to Pep, Lola Rosalinda Pendon Ogsimer shared that she started joining marathon events in 2015. Back when she was younger, she’s really not into it as she was a housewife who used to help her husband managing his business and money.

The 75-year-old granny joined marathon with the encouragement of her child. According to her, the first marathon even she joined was The Bull Runner (TBR) Dream Marathon. She admitted that she was nervous then since it was her first time. She experienced a frightening cramps but she was able to finish the race with the time 6:38:01 at the age of 67. She has also joined the Pinoy Fitness Sub1 Challenge.

Lola Rosalinda Pendon Ogsimer will also join the 3km event of National Masters and Seniors Athletics Association of the Philippines which will be held at Philsports Track Oval in Pasig City on November 11-12, 2022.

Based on the article, the 75-year-old marathoner said that she just enjoys running and motivating other people to also try it. She initially had struggles, too, but she persevered in her regular trainings until she enjoyed it. She also met a lot of friends.

Lola Rosalinda is also set to run a 21km category of Tagaytay Uphill Challenge Leg 1 on November 27. It will be held at the People’s Park in the Sky, Tagaytay City.
