Netizens Slam MAPEH Teacher for Hurting Grade 4 Student
CHILD ABUSE – A MAPEH teacher from Silay City, Negros Occident earned criticisms online for hurting a grade 4 student.
Child abuse has been one of the major concerns of the government not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. Physical and verbal abuse against children is considered a crime and is strictly punishable by the law.
The lady teacher identified as Maria Lourdes Panes is facing backlash and negative reactions from the public after hurting an elementary student at Silay South Elementary School. The incident reportedly happened on October 18, 2022.
Catherine Pabuaya, the student’s mom said that she received a message from the adviser that the child doesn’t want to go home. The woman instructed the teacher to urge her child to go home for lunch.
Pabuaya noticed that her kid won’t go to school anymore and learned that the MAPEH teacher pushed and kicked the grade 4 student. Panes even cursed and lambasted the helpless kid for their alleged wrongdoing.
The teacher reportedly heard the child backstabbing her with its classmate. The educator lost her temper and hurt the kid. The student’s adviser was also shocked after she witnessed the incident.
The poor kid decides not to go to school anymore because of trauma. The student expressed its desire to take revenge and make the teacher pay for what she has done. The child wants the teacher to be jailed.
Panes reportedly issued an apology but Pabuaya did not see her sincerity. The complainant will file charges against the MAPEH teacher.
