Mother and Son Stealing the P3M Cash of a Senior Citizen in Jailed Toledo City

Authorities arrested a mother and son tandem for allegedly stealing the P3 million cash of a senior citizen in Toledo City.

The senior citizen’s home in Poblacion Toledo City was broken into by a mother and son, according to the report. Zinito Blanco Pahaganas, the victim, who is 73 years old, reported the event to the police right away.

The Toledo City Police Department thereupon started a strong pursuit operation right away. According to the report, the victim and his nephew witnessed the suspects stealing the money and rushing out of their home while carrying an eco bag.

The two suspects, known as Remy Camoro Malabo, 57, and his son Marvin, 37, were apprehended successfully on Monday. Authorities do, however, find two eco bags holding P50,000.

The victim’s P2.9 million in cash is still missing, according to PIO Deputy Chief of Police for Toledo City PS, PLt. Jec Seares. To retrieve the stolen funds, Seares noted that two are currently the subject of an investigation.

According to the report, the stolen funds are the proceeds from the sale of the property. The mother and son, who are being housed in a detention facility at the Toledo City Police Station, will be charged accordingly.
