PAG-IBIG CALAMITY LOAN TYPHOON PAENG – Here is a guide on how to apply for this loan offer and the areas that are qualified for it.

Typhoon Paeng brought heavy rains and strong winds to a lot of cities and municipalities in the Philippines. The severe tropical storm left several areas devastated and submerged in floodwater. Many families lost their homes.

In the Philippines, in times of calamities, there are entities that you can turn to for assistance. The people who are working or living in areas declared under a State of Calamity are also eligible to apply for calamity loans provided that they are members of these government agencies and their accounts qualify the offer.

One of the loans that victims of Typhoon Paeng may turn to is the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan. To qualift for this loan offer, the member-applicant must be:

  • having at least 24 monthly savings
  • having at least one monthly savings posted within the last six months
  • presenting a source of income

You can borrow up to 80% of your total monthly savings under the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan. For example, if you have a total of P10,000 monthly savings, you can borrow up to P8,000. How to apply for this loan offer? Here is a guide in applying for the said loan offer:

Step 1 – Prepare the requirements. There are documents needed in applying for this Pag-IBIG loan offer. You will need to submit the following:

  • One (1) Valid ID (Photocopy)
  • Proof of Income
    • For employed applicants:
      • The employer must accomplish the “Certificate of Monthly Income” portion at the back of the MPL Form /
      • Photocopy of payslip authenticated by a representative of the company/employer
    • For self-employed applicants:
      • Business/Mayor’s Permit
      • Commission Vouchers

Step 2 – Head to a branch of Pag-IBIG Fund nearest to you and submit the said documents. The government agency will advise you.

Who are qualified to apply for Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan due to Typhoon Paeng?

The people who are working or living in areas that are under a state of calamity may apply for this loan offer. With regards to the victims of Typhoon Paeng which is the latest tropical storm to have hit PH, based on a report on Manila Bulletin, the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) said that the entire province of Albay in Bicol Region was placed under a state of calamity.

  1. may update na regarding sa areas na idineklarang STATE of CALAMITY ngayon – LATEST UPDATE:

    Idineklara ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang state of calamity sa CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, at BARMM dahil sa pinsalang dulot ng bagyong “Paeng.”

    Sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 84, na nilagdaan ng Pangulo ngayong Miyerkules, Nobyembre 2, magtatagal ang state of calamity sa loob ng anim na buwan.

    Sa pamamagitan ng deklarasyon, makokontrol ang presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin sa mga nasabing rehiyon at magagamit ng lokal at pambansang pamahalaan ang pondo na nakalaan para sa relief at rescue operations, at rehabilitasyon sa mga istrukturang napinsala.
