Thai Transwoman Billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip Now Owns Miss Universe
MISS UNIVERSE – The world’s third-richest transgender Anne Jakrajutatip now owns Miss Universe.
The Miss Universe was founded in 1952. The annual international beauty pageant is one of the two most well-known pageants in the world.
Women from all around the world compete in the Miss Universe to represent their home countries. Model-actress Harnaaz Sandhu of India is the current MU.
Last September, the New York Post reported that the MU pageant is for sale for 20 million dollars (more than P1.1 billion). The report alleged that the said beauty pageant is losing 2 million dollars annually.
On September 25, 2022, the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) released a report that the world’s third-richest transgender Anne Jakrajutatip may be have bought Miss Universe. She is the Chief Executive Officer of JKN Global Group Public Company Limited.

Anne Jakrajutatip confirmed the news that she is the sole owner of the world’s biggest beauty pageant through her successive social media posts this Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
“We are incredibly honored to be acquiring The Miss Universe Organization and working with its visionary leadership team. The global reach of the Organization, its relationships with global partners and brands, and its wealth of content, licensing, and merchandising opportunities make this a strong, strategic addition to our portfolio…”
“We seek not only to continue its legacy of providing a platform to passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and traditions, but also to evolve the brand for the next generation,” she added.
The next MU pageant is set to be held on January 14, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is expected to welcome beauty queens from over 85 countries, including the PHs Celeste Cortesi.
