What is beauty for Lucy Torres?
Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres, one of the most beautiful faces in the country, shared her definition of beauty.
Lucy’s beauty has captured the attention of a lot of people but only one has captured her heart – her husband actor-politician Richard Gomez. Aside from her beautiful face, Lucy is also admired by people for her intelligence and bravery in standing up for what she believes.
The wife of Richard is also being recognized for her hard work when it comes to her career in public service in Ormoc which is known to be the “City of Beautiful People.” Deeper than her beautiful face, Lucy gave value to the beauty from within.
In a recent article by Manila Bulletin columnist Jeff Fernando, he shared how Lucy Torres defined beauty in one of her public messages.
“A beauty guru once said, that, “Beauty is the outward reflection of what is inside of us. So, if beauty is not just the physical – what is beauty? To me, beauty is an intention to give joy – manifested in a smile,” the celebrity politician said.
For her, beauty is also energy amid difficult times and harmony “in the face of chaos and confusion, adversity.” Lucy also described beauty as love wrapped in a wonderful, majestic, fascinating package, and resilience amid trying times, like the pandemic.
“Let us continue to look deeper to find beauty. When we see a beautiful face, we don’t stop there, for we understand that beauty is also in the warmth of conversation, the quiet of smiles, in how love and affection is expressed,” Lucy Torres said.
As Ormoc is celebrating a month-long festivities for its 75th Charter Day Celebration, Lucy Torres encouraged the citizens of the city to not just search for beauty but also experience it. She also said that Ormocanons are more than just beautiful faces, they are the “warm smiles, the helping hands, the kind gestures and good intentions that live in each one of us.”
