The mugshot of Justice Secretary Boying Remulla’s son vs actor Mark Anthony Fernandez elicits reactions from the netizens.

The actor and Juanito Jose Diaz-Remulla III’s mug shots, who are both charged with marijuana-related offenses, went popular on social media. Mark was detained in 2016 on suspicion of using illegal drugs.

In accordance with the prior report, Mark was apprehended by the PNP while trafficking marijuana at a checkpoint in Pampanga. He was jailed after a marijuana drug test revealed a positive result but a negative result for shabu use.

When Mark was found not guilty in 2017, PDEA Chief Aaron Aquino was shocked. However, on October 11, Juanito Jose Diaz-Remulla III was apprehended by members of the Interdiction Task Group of Las Pias City for allegedly having P1.3 million worth of suspected kush (cannabis) in his possession.

He received a parcel from America that was meant for Mr. Boying Remulla’s kid. According to the PDEA, who emphasized that there was no special treatment, Juanito Jose was not drug tested whereas Mark, a well-known actor, was, which is why the mugshots of the two celebrities went viral.

Derrick Carreon, a spokesman for PDEA, claims that the Remulla child declined a drug test on the advise of his attorney. While Mark is displayed, Juanito Jose’s face is hidden. The contrast between the two personalities was made fun of by online users. Some online users asserted that Mark’s face was made public because he is an attractive artist and Remulla’s son is not.

On the other hand, some online users asserted that the justice system is being severely mocked by this. Another person asserted that this is merely evidence of the stark contrast between “poor ordinary people” and “wealthy and powerful politicians.”
