Jim Paredes Taps NBI to Report Netizen Spreading Private Videos

Jim Paredes Reported a Netizen to NBI for Spreading Private Videos of Old Men

OPM singer Jim Paredes reported a netizen to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for allegedly spreading private videos of old men.

Paredes reported a user on Twitter who reportedly sells private films of several elderly guys, some of whom are migrant workers from outside (OFWs). Paredes shared a portion of his chat with the aforementioned netizen in the aforementioned tweet.

He informed the Twitter user that he had reported the incident to the National Bureau of Investigation and the National Telecommunications Commission based on the photo (NTC). He said that he has already discussed the situation with Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba.

“Nakareport a number mo sa NTC at NBI. At this very moment kausap namin so Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba. Nagsamasama kami. Hintayin mo,” Paredes said in his post.

The apologies of the aforementioned Twitter users also include crying emoticons. The aforementioned Twitter user is still active right now. On various social media sites, like Twitter and Telegram, the sale of apparently private images and videos of people is currently popular.

It should be recalled that Paredes fell prey to those who shared his private footage in 2019 as well. Paredes acknowledged that his video was genuine, personal, and not intended for general viewing. He added that he is unsure of the cause of its social media propagation.

“The video was real. It was private, and not meant for public consumption. I do not know how it became public. I can only surmise that in this ugly season of toxic politics, muckrakers determined to neutralize my influence by violating my privacy and digging up dirt on me are at work,” said Paredes.
