Details about the Manila LGU Reminders on UNDAS 2022 to Cemetery Goers

UNDAS 2022 – The local government of Manila City released important reminders for the cemetery goers this upcoming November.

The Philippines is one of the countries that greatly observe the All Soul’s Day which is set every 2nd of November. In fact, it is usually a week-long commemoration of those who have passed away since the last week of October until November 2 or 3.

Filipino families would usually go to cemeteries to light a candle and offer a prayer for their loved ones who have passed away. There are also some families who spend the entire day or at least half of the day at the grave of their deceased loved ones. They offer prayers and flowers, light candles, and bring food which they can eat while staying at the cemetery.

It is also a Filipino tradition wherein the people would cook certain foods that are usually made with sticky or glutenous rice. Some Pinoy families would take a small part of every food they have cooked and drinks they have prepared and offer it at the altar for the souls of their departed loved ones.
