Last year, Dani Barretto revealed in an interview that she and her father former actor Kier Legaspi haven’t seen each other for seven years. She did not grow up with him but he made his presence felt in her life. He wasn’t the father who is always present but she know he is her father.

When she grew older, she tried reaching out to him and there was even a phase in her life where she lived with him. This was the phase in her life he knew him deeper and where they’ve had a relationship. But this was cut short.

Despite her not-so-good relationship with her dad, she maintained a good relationship with her lola, her father’s mother, her Momsy Hershey. And just recently, as her Momsy celebrated her birthday, she dedicated a post for her along with a sweet birthday message in the caption.

“My Mama who’s present in all the milestones of my life, and now Millie’s,” she described of her. She was referring to her 3-year-old daughter with her husband Xavi Panlilio. She added, “I can’t thank you enough, Mama. Now it’s my turn to take care of you and spoil you rotten.”

And in the comment section, her mother Marjorie Barretto made a comment. It was a short birthday message but sweet and heartfelt. Marj wrote: “Happy Birthday Tita Hershey. I love you very much.”
