Will these exes of Kris Aquino be part of the Maid in Malacañang sequel?
Seasoned actors Phillip Salvador and Joey Marquez might, both ex-partners of Queen of all Media Kris Aquino, might be part of the movie Martyr or Murderer, the Maid in Malacañang sequel.
MiM is a big hit and controversial as well. It is written and directed by controversial filmmaker Darryl Yap who has been sharing updates of the movie on social media, as well as the upcoming second installment of his trilogy.
In a recent Facebook post, Direk Darryl shared a photo of Joey Marquez. In the caption of his post, he shared the conversation that he had with Viva, the film company handling the director.
“Viva : Sino ang Ninoy mo?”
“Darryl: A Dream to work with Philip Salvador”
“VIVA: and your Fabian Ver?”
“Me: Siya lang… [Joey Marquez].”
Several netizens agreed with this and there were those who said that Joey can portray the character of Fabian Ver who was the Commanding Officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines under President Ferdinand Marcos.
Prior to this, Direk Darryl has already shared a portrait painting of Phillip Salvador, the first character he introduced in Martyr or Murderer. To recall, the filmmaker also shared a photo of Jerome Ponce and he hinted that the actor will play the young Ninoy.
After showing the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in the Palace before they were forced to leave, Direk Darryl will tackle the story surrounding the late Senator Ninoy Aquino, the father of Kris Aquino. She had a relationship with Phillip after they worked together in the 1994 film Nandito Ako.
The Queen of all Media and Joey Marquez started their relationship in 2002. That was after Kris had an exclusive interview with Joey at the Manila Hotel for The Buzz’s March 2002 episode. Their breakup was quite controversial and a word war happened between them. It just ended when the actor made his public apology to Kris Aquino.
As of this writing, Direk Darryl Yap is yet to confirm if Joey Marquez said yes to this movie offer.
