Barbie Forteza talked about her role in this new Kapuso series
Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza reacted to the praise that she gets for her portrayal of the character “Klay” in the historical portal romance series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Viewers have been expressing positive feedback on the new Kapuso series that also features Dennis Trillo and Julie Anne San Jose. This is one of the current series that presents a unique theme and this is something that makes the viewers so engaged in watching.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, he shared the interview he had with Barbie Forteza. Ogie is one of the showbiz personalities who shared his positive review.
Barbie said that she is thankful for all the praise that their series is getting from the viewers. She also said that they did not expect that they will receive overwhelming support from fans. The actress added that every one of them is on cloud nine now.
Barbie also pointed out that one thing that makes her heart happy is that aside from the fact that people love the series, there are a lot also who can relate to and get affected by Klay’s character.
The actress said that when she created the character, she had the intention to make it as real as possible. “Gusto ko talagang maging totoong tao siya para kapitan talaga siya ng tao,” Barbie said. She wanted the viewers to follow the journey of Klay inside the story of Noli Me Tangere.
With the positive feedback that she has received, the actress said that it is “mission accomplished.” Barbie Forteza said that she is so happy about this.
Meanwhile, the actress admitted that she was not able to read both Jose Rizal’s novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo because when she was in high school, she took up an alternative learning system.
