The 13th PMPC Star Awards for Music was held on Wednesday at the Newport Theater in Pasay City. Moira Dela Torre leads the list of winners for bagging four awards such as Album of the Year for “Patawad” by Star Music; Song of the Year for her song “Paubaya”; Music Video of the Year for her massive hit “Paubaya”; and Female Recording Artist of the Year for the same song.
Among the highlights was the time when Ogie Alcasid and Daniel Padilla tied in winning Best Male Concert Performer of the Year. These male artists won for their “Apollo” and A-Team and Frontrow International’s “Kilabotitos” events, respectively.
Levi Celerio Lifetime Achievement Awardee this year is veteran composer Vehnee Saturno while Martin Nievera was honored with the Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement recognition. Dingdong Avanzado was given the Exemplary Milestone Award in Music for his 35 years of being in OPM.
