Online Seller Selling Dog, Cat Meats to be Mixed in ‘Pares’ Criticized

Online Seller Lambasted by Netizens for Allegedly Selling Dog and Cat Meats

The online community lambasted the online seller who allegedly sells dog and cat meats to be mixed in ‘pares’ and ‘mami’.

Markus Adrian is drawing criticism for reportedly selling dog and cat meat that was later purportedly put in the popular beef stew known as “Pares” that circulated on social media. In the aforementioned article, the internet vendor offered for sale “cat/dog tendon,” which is allegedly utilized in the highly regarded street meals pares, mami, and shawarma.

Some posts reveal that Adrian appears to have customers for his sale of prohibited meat. In a message to the Facebook page for Pares vendors, Adrian even complimented his devoted customers and said that “haters are gonna hate.”

Some internet users were forced to report the aforementioned post to the authorities. Some animal rights activists sought Adrian out to determine whether it is true that he sells the alleged meats.

Adrian, though, asserted that his post was only a joke and disputed that he sells dog and cat meat in a reply. Some internet users, however, did not share this opinion and requested the authorities to look into the individual.

Even if the man’s tweet was intended as a jest, he should still be punished because it may have had an impact on numerous enterprises. The sale of dog or cat meat is forbidden by the Anti-Rabies Act (RA 9482).
