Cristy Fermin mentioned Toni Gonzaga in her program
Veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin said that Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga can be the Press Secretary.
It is known to many that Toni is one of the celebrities who supported the candidacy of President Bongbong Marcos. Together with her husband, filmmaker Paul Soriano, they did major roles in PBBM’s campaign.
Toni led the various campaign events of the UniTeam around the country. Direk Paul was the man behind the campaign ads of PBBM. It was also known to many that the couple received a massive amount of bashing because of their political stand. However, they continued to show their support for the current Chief Executive.
Toni also did the first interview with PBBM in Malacanang. This was shown on Toni’s YouTube channel as well as on the new network ALLTV.
Just recently, Direk Paul revealed that he was offered to be the Press Secretary of the current administration. However, the filmmaker refused to accept this offer. He said that there are more deserving people in this position.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, in a recent episode of Cristy Fermin’s program, Cristy Ferminute, she said that there were people who said that since Direk Paul declined the offer to be the Press Secretary, then, maybe Toni can occupy this position. For him, he can extend more help if he is just “behind the scenes.”
The veteran showbiz writer believes that the actress-host can do the job of a Press Secretary, however, her statement has a “but.”
“Unang-una, kung kapasidad po ang pag-uusapan, pwedeng pwede po si Toni Gonzaga na maging press secretary. Pero hindi naman po ito papasukin ni Toni, iba naman po ang takbo ng kanyang karera kaysa dito sa makukulong siya sa mundo ng pulitika. Hindi po ito ang kanyang linya, kung baga,” Cristy said.
