Piolo Pascual is one of the acting inspirations of Paulo Avelino
Paulo made a surprise entrance in the Pinoy version of the hit South Korean series. Viewers of the teleserye were really shocked as prior promotions of this project did not include him.
The surprise reactions were changed to admiration because of how good Paulo is in portraying his Jacob del Rosario character. This role is darker than the roles that Paulo did in his previous project. Prior to this, he did a romantic-comedy series with Janine Gutierrez.
Although there is no lesson that people can take from the person of his character, Paulo Avelino stressed that it is an awareness for people to give attention to mental health, based on the article in the Philippines Ultimate Showbiz Hub.
“At the end of the day parang it boils down to mental health. Sana may mga tamang proseso at gamot tayo diyan. See a professional if you see or experience or someone near you is going through something like that,” the actor said.
He also shared that growing up, he was watching Piolo Pascual’s movies and teleseryes. Paulo said that it is an achievement for him to work with the star he looks up to. Then, he shared the lessons he learned from Papa P.
“Papa P naman is always young at heart and kaya niya sumabay sa mga bata or sa mga beterano. I learned a lot. Siguro ang pinaka takeaway ko kay Papa P is behind the camera is always about being humble,” Paulo said.
Meanwhile, after watching the finale episode of Flower of Evil, the actor said that he recalled all the hardships they went through. Aside from being tiring, Paulo Avelino said that they got sunburned because it was too hot in their shooting location.
