SK Federation President Possessing Illegal Weapons, Drugs Arrested in Iloilo

Police arrested the Sangguniang Kabataang (SK) Federation President over possession of illegal weapons and drugs in San Miguel City, Iloilo.

The 24-year-old president of the SK Federation in San Miguel, Iloilo, was taken into custody by the members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG). The young suspect was named Mekhail Khalil Serio Tadifa based on the report.

The CIDG investigation alleges that Tadifa is hiding illicit things like guns, explosives, and illegal substances while serving as an ex-officio on the San Miguel City Council. Tadifa, who is now being held in CIDG Region 6 custody, would be the target of numerous complaints.

It can be recalled that Tadifa was in court after he assaulted a man with a weapon because the man disregarded the schedule of the basketball tournament that was taking place in their city. Tadifa was one of those found playing poker.

He allegedly came close to reprimanding the former barangay chief after receiving criticism for not donning a face mask. On the other hand, online users welcomed Tadifa’s arrest because they said that they had been complaining about him for a long time.

Tadifa is one of those who benefited from the delay of the Philippine Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay elections since he is too old to run. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) stipulates that candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 24 when submitting their certificate of candidacy (COC).
