Gas Companies to Implement Another Round of Oil Price Rollback This Week

FUEL PRICE ROLLBACK – Several gas companies in the Philippines will impose another round of oil price rollback starting this week.

The prices of petroleum products play a very important role to the country’s economy. Pump price adjustment usually causes significant impact on prices of products and services in the country.

The consecutive oil price hike during the past few months contributed to the daily burden of Filipino people, especially those who were in the public transport sector. Price rollbacks can somehow ease the struggles of Filipino drivers.

Various oil firms in the country announced a rollback on prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. It will mark the second week of price slash for gasoline and the fifth week of rollback for diesel and kerosene.

The Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. announced a price cut of P0.45 each per liter of gasoline and diesel and P0.85 per liter of kerosene. Cleanfuel will impose similar changes except for kerosene which it does not carry.

All oil companies will implement the price changes at 6:00 am on Tuesday (October 4, 2022) except for Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 12:01 am. Other gasoline stations are expected to make similar announcements later this week.
