Ogie Diaz talked about the hosting style of Willie Revillame
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared the “constructive criticism” that he has for veteran host Willie Revillame.
To recall, Ogie received criticism after he honestly shared his opinion on the audio or sound system during the ALLTV soft launch, specifically Toni Gonzaga’s performance. This did not sit well with netizens who are supporting the new TV network.
Following the negative reactions to ALLTV, Willie gave his message to the critics. He said that instead of criticism, people should just focus on the fact that the new network is giving jobs to a lot of people.
With this, Ogie Diaz said that statement that Willie Revillame had sounded like a “panunumbat.” The talent manager-vlogger stressed that what he was saying was “constructive criticism” for the improvement of the new network.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie with Mama Loi and Dyosa Pockoh, they talked about the hosting style of the veteran host. Mama Loi took notice that at times, Willie’s voice is already “paos.”
Ogie said that it is because the veteran host is taking all the spiels. “Kasi nga sino-solo niya,” he said. Then the talent manager-vlogger shared his suggestion. He said that the veteran host could delegate to other hosts parts of the spiels so that it will not be tiring for him.
“Siya yung timon at tapos magbigay siya ng break as iba, oh, ikaw naman ngayon,” Ogie said, adding that if Willie will speak the whole show, then, his voice will be compromised for the following episodes.
Ogie also said that sometimes, Willie has the tendency to burst his emotion on-air when he sees something that he does not like. Mama Loi said that the veteran host should train other hosts because he is now at the management level.
Then, the talent manager-vlogger mentioned that at times, Willie does not pronounce properly the words that he is saying. “Paminsan-minsan lang naman, hindi malinaw ang mga words na lumalabas sa bibig niya. Yung pagbasa niya, medyo nakakain na niya yung salita,” Ogie Diaz said.
He stressed that this is constructive criticism. “Baka din kasi hindi masabi ng iba o nahihiyang sabihin kay Kuya Wil,” Ogie added.
