The wife of Vhong Navarro faced the media
Tanya Bautista, the wife of Kapamilya star Vhong Navarro, has spoken about the “backer” of model Deniece Cornejo.
Vhong was detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after the Taguig Regional Trial Court issued an arrest warrant against him with no recommended bail for the rape case filed by Deniece.
Amid this controversy, Tanya stands by her husband. Speaking before the media people, she expressed dismay that this issue was supposed to face its end but it suddenly gained momentum in favor of the other camp.
Based on the article in Balita, they expected that the cases filed against Vhong Navarro will soon receive the verdicts in favor of their side but they were caught unprepared by the current situation.
On the other hand, they are optimistic that the actor-host will get out of detention. “Bakit kasi may rape? Lahat ng ebidensya ibinigay namin. Consistent si Vhong sa kuwento niya since day one,” Tanya stressed.
She also said that they fear for Vhong’s safety if he will be transferred to the Taguig City Jail as what the camp of Deniece wants to happen. “Of course, that’s very scary kasi threat ‘yun sa buhay niya,” the wife of the It’s Showtime host said.
Tanya also stressed that they will fight and they are optimistic that they will win. However, for now, they are worried about the TV host’s safety. She also expressed gratitude to all the people who are showing support for her husband.
When asked if she has an idea about the speculated “backer” of the other camp, “I do. We have. Pero parang hindi ko naman masasabi ‘yun. Right now, siguro mas marami pang mase-share yung legal team sa akin.“
She added that they suddenly felt attacked and they can’t fight back. The wife of Vhong Navarro said that she hopes the current administration has nothing to do with this issue. “I hope wala. That would be very sad. I hope wala. Personal ‘tong issue, may galit… ‘di ko alam so dun lang. Sana ‘di ganon,” Tanya said.
Then, she got emotional when she gave her message to Deniece Cornejo. Vhong’s wife stressed that Deniece knows the truth. Tanya said that her husband sinned against her but she has forgiven him already and for the past eight years, he is making up for that mistake. After what happened, they got married.
