Museo ng Pag-asa: Museum for Leni Robredo’s Campaign Gifts Received Inaugurated

MUSEO NG PAG-ASA – The inauguration of the museum that is housing the campaign gifts for former Vice President Leni Robredo took place.

The Leni-Kiko campaign rallies for the May 2022 Elections is undeniably among those that marked the Philippine history and will not be forgotten by many people. During those campaign events, then presidential candidate and Vice Pres. Leni Robredo received a lot of gifts from her supporters. Most of those gifts are masterpieces of artworks. She decided to place it in a museum so it can be maintained and the people can see the Filipinos’ talents. Recently, the inauguration for Museo ng Pag-asa which houses some of those campaign gifts took place. The said museum is located in Barangay Lourdes, Quezon City. Leni Robredo’s Personal Background

Born on April 23, 1965 in Naga, Camarines Sur, the complete name of the Vice President is Maria Leonor Sto. Tomas Gerona-Robredo. She is the eldest among the three (3) children of the late Naga City Regional Trial Court Judge Antonio Gerona and the late Salvacion Sto. Tomas. She spent her elementary and high school at St. Isabel University in Naga. In college, she took a degree in economics at the University of the Philippines Diliman and proceeded law at the University of Nueva Caceres. In her second attempt, she passed the licensure exam for lawyers in 1996.

Leni married Jesse Robredo. She met her as she was her boss at the Bicol River Basin Development Program. According to her, she was impressed by the simplicity of Jesse and her beliefs. She resigned from work when they got engaged. It was in 1987 when they officially tied the knot. Their marriage was blessed with three (3) children – Jessica Marie, Jillian Therese, and Janine Patricia. In 2012, Jesse who was the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary then died in a plane crash.

Leni Robredo’s Political Career

In 2013, Leni Robredo won as the representative of the 3rd District of Camarines Sur in Congress. She was under the Liberal Party and she garnered a total of 123,843 votes or 69.93% of the total votes. In 2016, she was the candidate of the Liberal Party for the vice presidency. With 14,418,817, Robredo secured the second-highest position in the national government. Currently, Robredo is eyed as a possible candidate for president in the Election 2022.
