VHONG NAVARRO – Kapamilya actor and host Vhong Navarro posts bail and here’s what he thinks about the case.
Kapamilya host Vhong Navarro previously received rape and acts of lasciviousness cases by the Court of Appeals. The CA ordered Taguig City’s Office of Prosecutor to file the cases after eight years.
To recall, the Department of Justice (DOJ) junked the cases filed by Deniece Cornejo regarding the 2014 incident that mauled the actor and left him almost not recognizable. The cases were junked for lack of probable cause and the inconsistencies in her statement.
And just recently, based on a previous article, the actor faced an arrest warrant issued by Taguig Metropolitan Court for acts of lasciviousness. He voluntarily surrendered and there was a recommended bail of Php 36,000.00.
With everything that happened many years before, the actor expressed that he has forgiven her. Facing the media, the actor did not hide the dismay he feels. He was shocked because the case was resurrected.
“So ako, mula noong 2014, inilahad ko lahat ng nangyari. Wala akong itinago, sinabi ko lahat,” he expressed.
He felt bad not because it wasn’t over yet but because it seems like they are trying to turn the situation to another angle putting him, the victim, in a bad light.
“Alam ng Panginoon iyon. Nagsasabi ako ng totoo, kaya ngayon ang bigat ng loob ko. Ba’t parang ganito? Para mabuhay, at the same time, ngayon binabaligtad kami,” he added based on a report from PEP.
In an interview, he stressed that he will not make any public apology because it will only make an impression that he’s guilty and admitting to the crime that he never did.
