How true is it that the talent fee for Toni Gonzaga from her new network is half a billion pesos?
Rumor has it that Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga received P500 million from Advance Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) as her talent fee.
After several months of speculations about Toni’s network transfer, it was finally confirmed that she is now part of ALLTV, the official name of AMBS, owned by business tycoon Manny Villar.
The actress-host, together with her husband award-winning director Paul Soriano signed a contract with Villar’s TV network. Previously, it was speculated that she will have a noontime show. Apparently, she will still do some kind of a talk show format as she recently teased her interview with President Bongbong Marcos.
The first interview that she did with Chief Executive was before the 2022 elections on her YouTube talk show Toni Talks. The recent interview will be aired on ALLTV on September 13.
In an article by entertainment columnist Ed de Leon, he mentioned that rumors circulating that Toni Gonzaga received half a billion pesos as her talent fee. The columnist believes that it is not impossible for the actress-host to receive this amount as a payment for her service.
De Leon said that even though Toni may not have a huge number of fans clamoring for her, her influence is visible, especially during the election season. He also said that it can be assured that Toni will have more followers as she will be seen on free TV and not just on social media.
The columnist also cited the time when Megastar Sharon Cuneta signed a contract with TV5 and it was worth a billion pesos. With this, he said that the rumored P500 million talent fee for Toni Gonzaga will depend on the result of the show or shows that she will do on ALLTV.
“Unless nakalagay sa kontrata niya na iyan ay guaranteed income, na may magawa man siyang show o wala, kalahating bilyon pa rin ang ibabayad sa kanya ng AMBS,” the columnist said.
