Jose Sanvicente Not Guilty

According to the previous report, Sanvicente driving an SUV hit and ran over security guard Christian Floralde who was directing traffic. Officers from Mandaluyong attempted to find Sanvicente at his alleged house in Quezon City, but they failed.

Later, Sanvicente presented himself to the police. He can no longer be arrested, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP), as the time limit has passed.

Even the suspect’s team responded to the accusations with a counter-affidavit. He was accused of frustrated homicide and leaving his own victim behind.

Meanwhile, according to PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo, PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. has no personal connections to the Sanvicentes. Danao only encountered the Sanvicentes, says Fajardo, when the suspect turned himself in at Camp Crame.

Sanvicente should have been arrested when he first appeared in public, according to critics. They questioned the PNP’s decision to let him to hold a press conference at the national office.
