LizQuen, the collective name of the love team of Kapamilya stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, was one of the biggest love teams in the country. However, it seems like we won’t be seeing much of them together in any projects because they have separated in terms of their career path.
Liza decided to go on a different path where she can explore her talent in music and explore her opportunities in Hollywood. She signed up under the music label of fellow actor James Reid. Meanwhile, Enrique decided to stay with the Kapamilya network and is ready to work as an independent actor.
ABS-CBN Film Production Inc. head Kriz Anthony Gazmen said that after their project “Make It With You” has been discontinued, the following projects pitched to them were rejected by the reel and real couple because of the pandemic. They fear the health threat which caused them to refuse to do several projects pitched to them right after MIWY.
Gazmen said that amid the shutdown of the network, they considered the “gods” of the network and since LizQuen is among the “gods”, they were asked. He said, “We have presented several projects to Liza and Enrique, and they were very open. There were so many pitches but, for some reason, the timing was never right.”
Currently, they are cooking something for Quen but with Liza, it still depends on the projects that she and her new management have been working out. He hopes that they’d have the right time next time based on a report from Inquirer.
