Another school year has started in the Philippines in elementary and secondary educational institutions. The Department of Education (DepEd) set the opening of the current school year last August 22.

DepEd targets the resumption of full face-to-face classes by November. According the education department, blended learning may be implemented in schools from August until the last school day of October.

Blended learning incorporates distance learning or the delivery of lessons and classroom instructions through online classes and modules and face-to-face classes.
