Is it true that Claudine Barretto receives P500K monthly “ayuda” from her older sister?
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto reacted to the alleged P500,000 “ayuda” every month that she receives from her older sister Gretchen Barretto.
This rumor was mentioned in the Showbiz Update vlog of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz back in January. It was alleged that La Greta stopped giving her younger sister her monthly allowance worth half a million pesos.
“Kung hindi tumakbo siguro si Claudine eh malamang eh nasuportahan siya ni Gretchen,” Ogie said referring to the decision of the Optimum Star to run for councilor in Olongapo City last elections.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Claudine Barretto said that her relationship with Gretchen Barretto is okay but receiving that amount of money is too much. “No, hindi totoo. Abuso yun. Abuso naman ‘yon,” the actress said.
She added that it is known to many that her Ate Gretchen is very generous and their family depended on her for a long time but she does not want to abuse the kindness of her older sister. On the other hand, Claudine admitted that La Greta would sometimes give her money or her kids.
“So, ayokong ever na ma-feel niya na palamunin niya ako or ano,” Claudine said, adding that she wants to earn her own money and she does not want to just depend on her older sister when it comes to financial matters.
The Optimum Star also stressed that her Ate Gretchen has been showering her love and this is more than the latter could give, and she does not want to take advantage of that. “Pero you know, she pays for insurance ko, oo. Saka yung insurance ng mga anak ko, yung ganoon,” she shared.
Previously, Claudine Barretto revealed that her annulment with her estranged husband actor Raymart Santiago is still being processed. She also shared that until now, they are not still talking to each other.
