This is how Liza Soberano became a part of this international project.

LIZA SOBERANO – Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is going international and this is how she got her role in this international project.

GoingHollywood is Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano, who, after her contract expiration with her previous network, decided to go on a different path. And taking her step, she became a part of the movie Lisa Frankenstein with Hollywood stars Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton.

There, Liza will star as Taffy, Newton’s character’s step-sister, and she is ecstatic about this opportunity. Director Zelda Williams’s movie is about a  high schooler who accidentally reanimated a “handsome Victorian corpse”. She used the corpse as her canvass to create the man of her dreams.

She had already begun filming in New Orleans, Louisiana but how did she land this role?

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the actress shared that she was initially intimidated and uncertain of how she was going to be treated on the set or how they are going to be towards her.

She expressed that there are differences compared to the Philippines that gave her a few things to adjust to. And speaking about getting the role, she shared that while roaming around Los Angeles, they bumped into Zelda Williams, the daughter of the late actor and comedian Robin Williams.

“And sakto the day that I met her, she just got this project ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ greenlit, and she was very excited about it. She was talking about it during our meeting and she said, ‘Why don’t you audition for one of the characters?’ I’m like, ‘Sure, I’ll think about it, I’ll read the script and if I like it, I’ll audition for it,’” she narrated based on the report.

She was in Korea when she was able to read the script. She sent her self-tape audition and a couple of days after, she received the great news of getting the role.
