COCO MARTIN – FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano actor Coco Martin is said to star in another FPJ remake but this is the truth.
Kapamilya action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has ended to give way to “Darna” television series. After seven years, the end of the top-rating series has finally come to an end and for some loyal viewers, it felt like the end of an era.
For seven years, the series became a part of many people’s nighttime habits. And now, right after the ending, rumors came in about the Kapamilya actor doing another FPJ classic – the “Batang Quiapo”.
“Batang Quiapo” is a 1986 blockbuster movie that starred Da King FPJ and Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. Regal Film was the one who produced it and regarding the rumors about its remake, Regal Entertainment Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Roselle Monteverde speaks about it.
Accordingly, there have been no talks yet about a remake to happen. It wasn’t confirmed and there’s no negotiation that took place just yet. Moreover, the camp of the actor and the executives of his media company have also not approached them about this.
“Saka na-clear ko kay Tita Susan [Roces] even before. It’s not FPJ Productions kaya kailangan sa Regal magpapaalam kung gagawin ni Coco ang Batang Quiapo,” she added based on a report from PEP.
In a previous article, Martin also denied doing the remake. He doesn’t have any idea about the plans. He stressed that such a decision would depend on his bosses and as of now, his focus would be the “Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat” world tour of his recently-concluded series.
