RR Enriquez once again shared her opinion on Jane de Leon
Showbiz personality RR Enriquez shared her thoughts on the Darna transformation of Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon.
Before the Darna series started airing, RR shared her opinion on the decision of ABS-CBN to give this major project to a newbie like Jane. Previously, this project was intended to be a movie that would feature Angel Locsin. Then, it was changed to a series that would initially feature Liza Soberano.
When initial plans did not push through, the Kapamilya network had to conduct another audition, and finally, Jane was chosen. In the initial reaction that RR Enriquez shared on her Instagram account, she said that she can’t see the oozing appeal that she was expecting from Jane de Leon.
After the character of Jane transformed into the iconic superheroine character, netizens have been tagging RR and asking her to give her reaction. Through her Instagram post, the former Wowowee dancer once again shared her thoughts.
She stressed that what she would say is “good criticism.” RR said that she can’t still see the appeal that she was expecting but she now understands the packaging that ABS-CBN did for Jane.
“Hindi sya yung tipo na pag nanasaan mo dahil napaka inosente ng dating nya,” RR said, adding that this was not the same appeal that Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin had when they did the role.
“Parang si Wonderwoman! Gal Gadot peg lang. I saw Gal Gadot (wonder woman in her),” she added. RR also said that because of this, the viewers would focus on other characteristics of Darna and not just her figure or her oozing appeal. “Pang high class packaging,” the showbiz personality said. RR Enriquez congratulated Jane de Leon for nailing this.
She also reminded netizens to understand her post and should remember that she is stating her opinion without the intention of bashing. In the comment section, Jane wrote “Thank you!”
