Jollibee Will Open A Branch At Times Square In NYC On Aug. 18
JOLLIBEE – Filipino fast-food brand Jollibee opening its doors in iconic Times Square in New York City on Aug. 18
The fast food restaurant Jollibee is an absolute sensation in the Philippines. In terms of popularity and regional market share, it surpasses Burger King and McDonald’s.
With intentions to expand to more stores, Jollibee is currently attempting to win over more Americans. And it’s progressing: throngs gather at store openings, social media influencers favor Jollibee, and both customers and critics have compared the meal to American favorites like KFC.
Then there is Chickenjoy, Jollibee’s most well-known dish. The hand-breaded fried chicken is popularly ordered with Jolly Spaghetti and is acclaimed for being juicy and crispy; it is prepared with a secret marinade and served with a side of gravy that has been dubbed “ethereal.”

On Friday Jollibee Food Corp announced that they will open a branch at Time Square in New York City on August 18. It will be located beside Good Morning America and in the Bowtie.
The company said the new branch is located at the “crossroads of the world.” It is seen to introduce the Pinoy brand to more mainstream American customers. The store will offer Chickenjoy fried chicken, Jolly spaghetti, peach mango pie, and chicken sandwich.
“We are excited to spread the joy of eating to everyone and contribute to the diverse and exciting food scene in Times Square,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, Jollibee Group’s President for Philippine Brands in North America.
The store now has 84 locations across North America and over 1,500 restaurants worldwide. Jollibee plans to grow its Canada and US network to 500 stores in the next five to seven years.
