This controversial film centers on the final days of Marcoses in Malacañang and is tackled from their perspective. To recall, they were forced to flee to the United States following the 1986 EDSA People People Revolution.

And in this film, a scene went viral where late former president Corazon Aquino was seen playing mahjong with the nuns. In a previous article, the Sisters of the Carmelites Monastery of Cebu did not like it saying the “attempt to distort history is reprehensible” in the statement they have issued.

Meanwhile, Sen. Imee, amid the issues and allegations of distorting historical facts in the movie, insisted that the story told was based on facts. Accordingly, the movie is not an attempt to revise history and even urged the critics to watch it before denouncing it.
