The Facebook account Chinkee Tan has shared the inspiring story of a lady netizen who earns P60, 000 per month for selling siopao. The post immediately went viral after it was posted online.
Tan has shared the story of a netizen named Devra Figueroa Khiatani who lost her job due to the coronavirus pandemic. She has no other source of income aside from her job and decided to find another source of income.
The woman started to sell siopao and earn P60, 000 per month. She was also able to talk with Chinkee Tan, which gives her words of wisdom and encouragement. Their conversation gives her a broader perspective on life.
Someone also asked her if she was not ashamed of her job being a vendor. Devra answered that it was more shameful to financially rely on other people instead of using your own strength to earn.

“Baka maging inspirasyon sa marami. After akong ma interview ni Sir Chinkee Tan, mas lalong lumawak ang mindset ko sa pag nenegosyo. Let me share with you my story. Since may pandemic, sobrang dami sa atin ang nawalan ng trabaho. Isa po ako sa mga naapektuhan. Pero naisip ko, hindi pwedeng wala tayong gagawin.
Who would have thought, na sa simpleng pagbebenta ng siomai o kaya siopao, kumita ako ng 60k per month. Sobrang dami ko ring na realize after ko makausap si Sir Chinkee sa show niya.
Last Saturday habang nag aayos ng paninda. May lumapit sa akin.
Sabi niya:
“Hindi ka ba nahihiyang mag tinda?”
ME: Hindi po! May pera po kasi dito. Mas nakakahiya yung kumpleto naman ang katawan may 2 paa, 2 kamay pero lagi nalang humihingi at umaasa sa iba.
Diskarte lang sa buhay para magkapera. Sa lahat ng makakabasa nito, wag kayo matakot mag take ng risk. Mas matakot ka kung wala kang ginagawa para sa ikakaganda ng buhay mo.
