Pick-up Truck Accidentally Hits Lady Passenger Who Falls From Trike
TARLAC – A lady passenger passed away after falling from a tricycle and getting hit by a pick-up truck in the opposite lane.
The CCTV installed along Barangay Anupul in Bamban, Tarlac has caught a tragic accident, which leads to the untimely death of a female passenger identified as Marissa Antonio. A reckless car driver hits the trike causing a tragic accident.
In the video, it can be seen that the tricycle is slowly driving along the road when a reckless car driver hit the trike. The passengers including Marissa falls from the trike and were left pummeling on the ground.
Unfortunately, a pickup truck ‘Ford Ranger’ on the opposite lane accidentally hits Marissa. The victim suffered serious injuries to the head and various parts of her body, which leads to her untimely death.
Luckily, the tricycle driver miraculously survives the incident.
“Si Ate Marissa kasi yung victim, nandoon sa gitna [ng kalsada], habang nag-iimbestigan yung mga pulis natin doon medyo mabilis itong [pickup] at nahagip ngayon [yung biktima]. Kasi hindi masyadong maliwanag doon sa area na ‘yon,” Bamban Police Station Deputy Chief Police Leiutenant Mark Cera said.
The pickup truck driver has surrendered to the authorities and the family agreed to settle the issue. However, the reckless car driver escaped and run away from his liabilities to the victim’s family.
“Sana mabigyan ng hustisya yung pagkamatay ng nanay ko. Sana sumuko siya [driver ng kotse], sana makonsensiya siya. Sana hindi siya tumakbo sa nangyari sana buhay pa yung nanayko,” Marrissa’s daughter Angel Antonio stressed out.
The police authorities will continue to investigate the incident to locate and identify the suspect.
