Still Unidentified Suspect Shot Traffic Enforcers in Cardona, Rizal

TRAFFIC ENFORCERS – Three (3) traffic aides were shot by a rider of a motorcycle that allegedly counterflowed in Cardona, Rizal.

The road is undeniably one of the riskiest places on a daily basis. There are several accidents taking place in different areas and some of these incidents have left people unharmed while others were injured or dead. Usually, these incidents involve vehicles.

However, there were also instances when the incidents on the road were not vehicular but it left people dead. Usually, these circumstances involve temper and altercations on the road regarding traffic. Recently, a similar incident took place in Cardona, Rizal.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, three (3) traffic enforcers were shot by a rider of a motorcycle while they were performing their duties on the road. Unfortunately, two (2) of the traffic aide did not survive the incident.

According to the report, the three (3) traffic enforcers were assisting the traffic along Manila East Road when the shooting incident took place. Based on the investigation of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Cardona, a motorcycle allegedly counterflowed in the area although it was a one-way road.

The traffic aide tried to stop the motorcycle and the back rider went off the vehicle and shot the enforcers. Two (2) of the enforcers died. They were identified as Angelito Tancinco and Marcel Julian.

With regards to the other enforcer, Jerome Kevin Cruz, he is reportedly recovering now after obtaining a wound in his thigh. The police are still in the operation to identify and arrest the suspect. More updates may be posted soon.
