Police Arrests Male Suspect After Lady Homeowner Fought Back

NABAS, AKLAN – A male suspect has been arrested by the police authorities after the lady homeowner fought back.

Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.

The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.

Male Suspect

The CCTV footage installed at a house in Barangay Nagustan captured the intense encounter between a male thief and a lady house owner. The suspect entered the vicinity without wearing his upper garment.

In the video, it can be seen that the thief entered from the upper portion of the house and went down to the ground floor. The culprit roams around the house searching for something useful.

The suspect tried to hide inside of a room but the lady house owner carrying a gun found the suspect. The female victim tried to shoot the thief but the latter was able to stop and the two wrestled.

Male Suspect

After a few moments, the lady owner’s daughter helped her mom to fight the thief. The suspect was able to get the firearm and immediately run away to escape.

The house owner and her daughter immediately reported the incident to the police authorities. The cops launched a follow-up operation and were able to arrest the 19-year-old suspect. The policemen recovered the victim’s firearm.

Currently, the suspect is under police custody and will face charges of robbery and frustrated homicide.
