SHINZO ABE – Here’s the close-up video of Japan ex-PM Shinzo Abe being shot and the suspect being tackled.

Around 11:30 a.m.  Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot while delivering a speech in Nara, Japan. He gave a speech in support of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) candidates ahead of the approaching Upper House elections on Sunday.

Abe He was scheduled to travel to Saitama and Kyoto prefecture, close to Tokyo. According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Tokyo, Abe was shot in the right side of his neck.

Shinzo Abe was rushed to Nara Medical University by medical helicopter after being transported to a hospital by ambulance. The former Liberal Democratic Party leader was shot twice, with the second hitting him in the back. He collapsed and fell to the ground with blood.

According to NHK, the authorities arrested a 40-year-old resident of Nara named Tetsuya Yamagami. The local man is now being kept for interrogation and didn’t try to run away. Yamagami appears to have used a handmade gun.

According to Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Shinzo Abe is currently in serious condition and receiving emergency care from medical professionals who are attempting to save his life.

According to a representative of the Nara City Fire Department, after collapsing, Abe was in a state of cardiac arrest. NHK said Abe was awake and responsive while being transported to the hospital.
