In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the Kapuso actor was asked about his decision to go for Good Boy. He revealed that it is because the supporting character is far from the character that he did in his previous project.

Yung character ni Nam Do San (male lead) but Davidson siya rito sa Start-Up Philippines has the same character journey as my character noong past soap ko, e,” Alden Richards.

He also said that it was the decision of the team to give him the said role. The Kapuso actor explained that his character in The World Between Us was a successful but it is very similar to the character of the male lead in Start-Up PH, which will be portrayed by Jeric Gonzales.

Pero yung journey niya kasi, kumbaga kung yung role ni Nam Do San yung kukunin ko, parang same lang. Similar. Very similar,” Alden said.
