Juan Ponce Enrile Now Confined To Hospital due to COVID-19

Former Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile Positive for COVID-19

JUAN PONCE ENRILE – The former Senator is currently confined to a hospital after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic is not over in the Philippines. Amid the easing of restrictions in several nations across the globe including PH, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the pandemic is not over anywhere if it is not over everywhere.

The WHO continues to remind the public not to be complacent as the threats of the virus are still present. The Philippine government and the health authorities also continue the call for the practice of the minimum public health protocols to fight the spread of the virus. Malacañang ordered the wearing of face masks outdoors to be mandatory.

Most areas in the Philippines are currently under Alert Level 1, the loosest community quarantine measure. However, recently, there was an increase in the COVID-19 cases in the country.

Meanwhile, according to Enrile, his critics and enemies should not clap yet because he is not going to die yet. He stressed that he has very good doctors; he is not experiencing any discomfort, chills, fever, or headache; his body temperature ranges between 36 degrees Celsius to 36.8 degrees Celsius; and his oxygen level ranges from 96 to 99.

In his Facebook post, former Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile stressed that the only thing that he is experienced was “dry intermittent, sometimes intense, coughing”. His CT scan result showed that he has mild COVID-19 pneumonia. As the incoming chief legal counsel of the next administration, he confirmed that he has already requested to skip the upcoming inauguration this Thursday, June 30.
