Kean Cipriano Quits Callalily After Almost 2 Decades

The popular Pinoy singer/actor Kean Cipriano said that he is no longer a part of Callalily and said “Medyo matagal na rin kaming hindi okay”.

On Thursday (June 23, 2022), Kean Cipriano announced that he had already left his band Callalily after 17 years of being the group’s frontman. The latter said that it is now time to do other things in his life after almost two decades.

“I think in a group na magkakasama for 17 years, marami na rin nangyari and… medyo matagal na rin kaming hindi okay, so alam mo ‘yun parang ibang chapter for us,” Cipriano said.

Cipriano wished all the best for his former bandmates as they look for a new frontman. He also reiterated that each of them grows differently. The former vocalist also disclosed the possibilities of having possible reunion gigs.

“I hope they find it, kung sino man. I mean you know I wish them really all the best ‘di ba. Like I said, Callalilly is done and kung ano man ‘yung gusto nilang gawin… I mean,’yun naman talaga ang point nito ‘di ba na in 10 years babalikan naming lahat at magpapasalamat kami sa isa’t isa and that was a good call, di ba? ‘Yung growth natin, iba na siya ngayon, I really wish them well,” Kean added.

Kean Edward Uson Cipriano is a Filipino singer, composer, actor, music video director, and musician. He is popularly known for being the vocalist of the Filipino pop-rock band Callalily, which was formed in 2005.

Callalily popularized the hit songs “Magbalik,” “Pasan,” “Sanctuary,” “Pansamantala,” and “Ilaw.”
