The youngest daughter of Sharon Cuneta came out as queer
Miel Pangilinan, the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Kiko Pangilinan proudly shared that she is celebrating her first Pride Month as an openly queer.
The LGBTQA+ community is celebrating Pride Month every June. It is a way of making the public know the predicaments surrounding their identities and their choices when it comes to their preferences.
This month has become an extra special for Miel because this is the time when she finally decided to reveal her true self. In her recent Instagram post, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta proudly said, “This June, I am celebrating my first pride month as openly and publicly queer.”
Miel shared that over the years, she has been puzzled by the things surrounding her true identity. Eventually, she has figured out who she really is and she is sharing this with the public during the time when she is comfortable enough about her identity.
Coming out is definitely cathartic for her. The daughter of the Megastar also expressed gratitude to her family and friends who rallied behind her back. Miel showed appreciation for the support that her loved ones have given to her.
“I’m also incredibly thankful that I am able to safely celebrate my identity this year, as I know there are many of people in this country that don’t have the same privilege,” she said.
She also acknowledges the fact that she still has a lot to learn about the community where she belongs and she is looking forward to having the chance to know more. “Happiest and safest of pride months, allies and members of the queer community alike,” the daughter of Sharon Cuneta said.
