Cristy Fermin said something about the Julia Barretto-Gerald Anderson relationship
Veteran showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin believes that the relationship between actress Julia Barretto and actor Gerald Anderson won’t last long.
Gerald confirmed his relationship with Julia back in March 2021. However, long before this, rumors already circulated linking them romantically. Julia was even accused of being the third party in Gerald’s breakup with Bea Alonzo.
It was also alleged that when Bea and Gerald were still together, the actor was already starting a romantic relationship with his Between Maybes leading lady.
Following years of speculations, Gerald and Julia revealed the real status of their relationship. This brought “kilig” to their supporters but Cristy Fermin had a different feeling.
In a recent Showbiz Now Na episode, her YouTube showbiz show with Romel Chika and Morly Alinio, the veteran showbiz reporter said that she does not think that Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson will be together in the future.
“Ako po, Sorry po ah. Hindi ko nakikitang magtatagal talaga si Gerald at Julia. Pinag-aralan na natin yan. Kasaysayan ni Gerald e alam naman natin ‘di ba?” Cristy said. Her statement came as a reaction to the statement of Morly about what Julia said to her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia.
“Baka naman may gusto pa siya kay Joshua. Baka naman sabi niya, ‘antayin mo lang ako, makikipaghiwalay ako…,’” Morly said. To recall, Julia advised Joshua to refrain from getting into a relationship for now.
Then, Cristy Fermin mentioned Ivana Alawi, the current leading lady of Gerald Anderson in the series A Family Affair. The showbiz reporter said that it is inevitable that Gerald will be linked to Ivana. However, Cristy defended Ivana by saying that this might not happen because the actress is not “malandi.” “Pero si Gerald, ibang klase,” Cristy Fermin added.
