Last year, she had a top 15 finish in the competition and this time around, she finally snatched the prestigious title. Her mother, coming from a poor family, was a former beneficiary of the ERDA (Educational Research and Development Assistance) Foundation. This is an organization that aims to send underprivileged children to school.

As a winner, the newly-crowned queen will also automatically wear corporate titles like Miss PAL, Miss Blue Water Day Spa, and Miss Megaworld. She will be taking home Php 500,000.00 and a year-long contract with the ALV Talent Management.

In the pageant, she was asked in the question and answer portion: How do we cope [with] an education deficit accumulated due to the pandemic?

And this is her winning answer:

“As an advocate of education, I do agree that during the pandemic we have suffered the most, but the children who have a lack of access to education have suffered the greatest. And working hand in hand with ERDA Foundation who empowered the marginalized Filipino, I believe by uniting benefactors and encouraging children and allowing them to go back to school especially during this pandemic will make this world a better place because education is the greatest weapon against poverty.”
