PAGASA Says Southwest Monsoon to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (May 28, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Southwest Monsoon will be affecting the western sections of the country. It will bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Northern Samar.

Western Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience similar weather condition due to Habagat.

Partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque.

The localized thunderstorms will also bring similar weather condition over the Manila, the rest of Visayas and the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the western sections of the country and the remaining parts of the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
