Marian Rivera was offered to do a project in South Korea
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera turned down an offer to do an acting project in South Korea as her priority right now is her family.
Marian and her husband Primetime King Dingdong Dantes have been together for seven years now. More than anything else, Marian’s top role is as a mother to their kids Zia and Sixto.
During a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the actress said that as much as possible, she wants to be very hands-on when it comes to taking care of her children.
“I have to be with them … Iba kapag ikaw kaysa ’yung ibinilin mo lang,” Marian Rivera said. After being a mother, her next priority is being a wife, and things for herself comes third.
This is the reason why the actress refused to accept an offer to do an acting project in South Korea. The said project will require her to stay in there for three months. Marian said that she can’t be away from her family that long.
“Kahit gusto ko, paano ang mga anak ko? There are some things you have to sacrifice,” the actress stressed. Those who prioritizes career cab easily accept this offer but it is not the same scenario for Marian.
“But as a mother, I don’t think my conscience can bear doing something for myself while my children get left behind,” the actress said.
Marian’s new sitcom with Dingdong allows her to still do her responsibilities as a mother. They have a twice a week shooting schedule for Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa. At times, the actress said that they would finish taping by 8 PM and if they would extend, it is only until 11 PM and by 12, they are already home.
