Atty. Trixie Cruz Angeles had tweets against the family of BBM
The anti-Marcos tweets of lawyer-vlogger Atty. Rose Beatrix “Trixie” Cruz Angeles, the incoming press secretary of President-elect Bongbong Marcos (BBM), resurfaced and here is her reaction to this.
Atty. Trixie was appointed as the chief of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). She accepted the job but netizens noticed the past tweets that she shared talking negatively against the Marcoses.
Based on the article in Inquirer, the lawyer shared a tweet back in February 2013 against the mother of BBM. “True justice is when we see at least Imelda Marcos in jail,” she wrote.
Atty. Trixie also had a past Twitter post against former President Ferdinand Marcos. “I hate the idea of Marcos in LNMB (Libingan ng mga Bayani),” the lawyer wrote in her November 2016 Twitter post.
The next day, she tweeted: “Does anyone even think Marcos is a hero? Our deepest worry may not be his manufactured heroism, but that future generations will believe it.”
During a press briefing, Atty. Trixie said that she and BBM have already discussed about these tweets.
“We have talked about it. I am a vlogger and we have talked about it extensively on the vlogs. We have conducted several [vlogs] about it, and I have told my story about how and when I changed my mind about it,” she explained.
The lawyer also said that “evolution is a natural thing even in our consciousness.”
On May 25, the camp of BBM announced that Atty. Trixie Cruz Angeles was appointed as the PCOO head. She will be the one who will conduct the regular Malacañang press briefings.
The incoming press secretary finished her law degree at the University of the Philippines in 1997 and passed the bar in 1998. She was also the Integrated Bar of the Philippines former spokesperson.
