The husband of Dawn Zulueta is the next SAP
Former Davao del Oro Congressman Anton Lagdameo, the husband of seasoned actress Dawn Zulueta, is chosen by President-elect Bongbong Marcos as his Special Assistant.
The Special Assistant to the President position was created by outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte in 2016. He appointed Christopher “Bong” Go as his SAP and Jesus Melchor Quitain assumed the position in 2018.
Under Executive Order No. 1, the SAP is tasked to oversee the Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) as well as the Office of the Appointments Secretary, and the Presidential Management Staff.
Based on the report from Inquirer, incoming President Bongbong Marcos has chosen his close friend Anton Lagdameo as his SAP. BBM said that it would be an easy task for the former congressman because they have been working together for the past decade. Another factor is that they have known each other for a long time now.
“We’ve asked Cong Anton Lagdameo to fill in that position. It’s very sensitive and very important in the sense that we have known each other since he was a child,” Bongbong Marcos said. He also said that the husband of Dawn Zulueta knows him very well.
Dawn and Anton has also supported the vice-presidential bid of BBM back in 2016. In a recent Instagram post that the seasoned actress shared, she shared a photo with the incoming President. “It’s official! Congratulations, our President-elect @bongbongmarcos,” she said. The actress also shared her message to incoming Vice President Sara Duterte. “God bless you & our duly elected Vice President,” Dawn Zulueta said.
Before the elections, the actress also shared a photo showing his support for Bongbong Marcos. She was wearing a white BBM jacket.
