Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces died on May 20 and Bongbong Marcos graced her wake.
BONGBONG MARCOS – Presumptive president Bongbong Marcos visited Susan Roces at her wake in Heritage Park in Taguig.
Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces died last May 20 at the age of 80 due to cardiopulmonary arrest. Senator Grace Poe was the one who made the announcement. And in a previous article, Coco Martin, among the closest to FPJAP’s Lola Flora, emotionally recalled his fondest memories with her and the valuable lessons he learned from her.
The entertainment industry mourns the loss of a gem. And among the personalities to visit her wake at the Heritage Park in Taguig City is presumptive president Bongbong Marcos. The wake of the veteran actress opened to the public last Sunday, May 22, which will last until May 25.
Senator Poe personally welcomed the presumptive president inside the chapel.
The interment is scheduled on May 26, Thursday at the Manila North Cemetery. She will be laid next to her husband, the King Of Philippine Cinema, Fernando Poe Jr., a fellow film icon.
Ang Probinsyano family and other personalities like former congresswoman Gina de Venecia, music veteran Ogie Alcasid, singer Pops Fernandez, and actor-director Eric Quizon also visited the wake.
Lola Flora’s brother in FPJAP, Lolo Delfin played by Jaime Fabregas, shared that one of the most admirable things about the late legendary actress is her kindness. She also treats everyone with respect and she sees no status – everyone in the set is treated by her equally.
Bidding farewell to his sister, Fabregas expressed, “She will be missed. As we all miss Mr. Poe, she will be greatly missed. It will be very difficult to have another Susan Roces again in our lives.”
